Material

Valve body: Aluminum alloy
Valve cover : Aluminum alloy
Spring : Steel
Diaphragm : Synthetic rubber
Valve base : High temperature elastic composition

Setting

The allowable pressure setting range is indicated on the nameplate. If a pressure setting outside this range is required, use a suitable regulator to control the spring. Change the nameplate to indicate the new pressure range.

Refer to key number locations above
1. Remove the adjusting nut (Part No. 36).
2. Loosen jam nut (Part 34).
3. Turn adjusting screw clockwise (Part No. turns adjusting screw to reduce outlet pressure setting).
4. After obtaining the required pressure, secure the adjusting screw (Part No. 35) in place and tighten the jam nut (Part No. 34)

Installation

Regulator operation within the rating does not exclude the possibility of debris damage in the line or from external sources. In case of any overpressure, check the regulator regularly for damage.
1. For regulators shipped separately, make sure there is no damage or foreign matter in the regulators.
2. Ensure that all pipes and pipes are free of foreign debris.
3. As long as the flow direction through the valve body is consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow projected on the valve body, the regulator can be installed at any position.
4. If continuous operation is required during inspection or maintenance, install tee bypass around the regulator

Start-up

To avoid personal injury or property damage due to explosionor damage of regulator or downstream components during startup, release downstream pressure to prevent overpressure on regulator diaphragm. To avoid overpressure and possible equipment damage, the pressure gauge should always be used to monitor the pressure during start-up.
1. Slowly open the upstream stop valve
2. Slowly open the downstream stop valve
3. Check all connections for leaks
4. Adjust the final control spring according to the adjustment procedure
Shut down
1. Close the upstream stop valve closest to the regulator.
2. Close the downstream stop valve closest to the regulator.
3. Open the exhaust valve between the regulator and the downstream stop valve closest to it.
4. For type 627 regulators, the regulator will open to relieve the pressure between the upstream stop valve and the regulator.
